April Favourites

Anastasia Gleam Glow Kit | £39
This is the first highlight palette that I've ever owned and I'm in love with it. The selection of shades is amazing and they would work great on a lot of different skin tones. Starburst in this palette is by far one of my favourite highlight shades of all time, as I don't have anything similar to it. I wont go into too much detail about this product as I do have a first impressions post that describes in detail what I love about it.

This is the perfect red/copper shimmery shade and I have been loving it this month. Last month I picked up a Pro Palette for my mac shadows as the pans don't sit well in my Z Palette. Whilst moving these into the Pro Palette I realised I don't use these shades as much as I would like too (Amber Lights/Nylon/Coppering), so I started using them again. I had forgotten how much I loved the combo of all three shadows but especially Coppering. I put is all over the lid and I find it makes my dark brown eyes look a lot lighter so they stand out more.

Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil - Walk of Shame | £15.50
I've seen a lot of people online using a nude eye pensil on the waterline to make eyes look brighter and more awake. I've been looking for one that wasn't too cheap or too expensive, I spotted this one in Debenhams on the new products stand and I was immediately drawn to it. I've used this with a few bold eye looks and it does exactly what I had hoped, I look more awake and my eyes look bigger. I would recommend this to anyone whose looking for great colour pay off.

Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick - Berry Smoothie | £9.50
I bought this product as lately I've been looking for different lipstick colours instead of just nudes and because BeautyBay had a deal on with Gerard Cosmetics. I didn't know what to expect with the colour or formula as I ordered it online and there didn't seem to be many reviews on them. The colour was completely different to what it looked like online but in a good way because it was the bold colour I was looking for. The colour pay off is amazing, it's matte but not drying at all and it's long lasting too. However it never completely dries, it does transfer all day but I don't mind as it has such as amazing colour pay off.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation | £37
I've heard a lot of good things about this foundation but as I was really happy with the foundation I was using (Estee Lauder Double Wear), I didn't intend to purchase this one, mainly because of the price. However I was shopping with a friend and she was purchasing it so I took the leap and splurged. Firstly I was very surprised that it came with a pump as most high end foundations don't, that was an additional bonus. I am happy to confirm that this is hands down my new favourite foundation, the coverage it unlike anything I've ever tried. I have a lot of acne scaring and this covers is without the need of colour correcting. It gives this coverage without looking cakey, it just gives the illusion of naturally perfect skin. Anyone thinking about getting this definitely do, it's worth the additional cost compared to other foundations.
