Anastasia Beverly Hills Gleam Glow Kit | First Impressions

When I saw these being released in America I knew needed one, but I was faced with a choice the Gleam Kit or That Glow Kit. I watched countless videos, swatches, and read any review I could find and came to the conclusion that the Gleam Kit was going to look better on my skin tone and I knew I would get more use out of this one. I was lucky enough to have a friend going to New York a few weeks after they were released but they are now available to purchase in the UK from BeautyBay for £39.

First Look at the Kit
Below are the swatches of the kit (Hard Candy|Mimosa|Starburst|Crushed Pearl) with and without flash. Hard Candy is like a duo chrome shade as it's gold but appears pink when it hits the light as shown in the images below. Mimosa is a true gold highlight, one that will look good on all skin tones. Starburst and Crushed Pearl are similar shades however, Starburst has pink undertones so its a warmer shade. Crushed Pearl is more white/silver tones therefore it's more cool toned.

I think the Gleam Glow Kit has universal shades for a lot of different skin tones and therefore more people would find use out of this kit. The Highlighters are long lasting and they come in big pans (a lot bigger than the contour pans) so it's worth the money. The only thing that I don't like about this product is that is does show all the texture on my face and in my opinion emphasises it, however there are ways to avoid this so it's not a huge problem.
