September GlossyBox Review

This is my second Glossy Box out of my three month subscription, if you missed last months you can find it here. This months box had six samples and it was created with Red Magazine.

The first sample is the Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara, this is something I've always wanted to try but couldn't justify getting a high end mascara. This mascara is amazing, I can say its one of my new favourites and I will definitely be purchasing it in full size. It gives my lashes amazing length and volume and its jet black which I love in a mascara.

The next sample was the Vitamasques Hydro Face Mask and I have to say I'm not a huge fan of this product. I am a huge mask lover and occasionally I use a sheet mask however I'm more into clay masks at the moment. This product promised 120 hours of hydration, I don't suffer with dry skin anymore instead I am now very oily on my face so this product wasn't one that excited me. I did try this product just to see how it felt and I found it horrible on my face, it was slipping all over the place and it was extremely heavy. I couldn't keep with on for more than ten minutes at it was uncomfortable. My mother suffers with extremely dry skin so I purchased the mask and let her put it to the test. She also found it heavy and couldn't keep it on for the full thirty minutes. It did leave her face feeling hydrated for the night but as her skin is so dry we didn't have high hopes and she didn't keep it on for the recommended time so she couldn't fully test the claims.

Next was a sample of the new Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask, this is something I've thought about buying since its been released so I was very happy to get this. I'm on a mask kick lately so any mask I get I'm very excited to try out, I tried this out the day that I got the box. When opening the sample I noticed that there were little bits of charcoal in the mask which I was disappointed about because I prefer a smooth mask formula. However I tried it out and I loved it, it left my skin feeling amazing after using it and it had soaked up most of the oil on my face which is something I look for in a mask. I will definitely be purchasing the full size of this product.

The next sample is the Rodail Smokey Eye Pen, this is a handy product to receive in a subscription box as its always nice to try out new eyeliners. This product has two uses it can be used as an eyeliner and smokey eye pen, I tired out both of these uses and I really liked the outcome. It has amazing colour pay off on the waterline and it blends out nicely for a smokey eye look. It's a great eyeliner for £17.

Next is a product that I don't love and its the Gosh Long Lasting Lip Marker. If you are someone who loves just a subtle lip tint then I'm sure you would love this product but on my lips it just made it look like I'd eaten a ice lolly and it had stained my lips. On a positive note though the colour was long lasting as it claimed and its reasonable priced at £8.50.

Lastly was the Revlon Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat, this is another handy product to receive as most people would use a top coat on their nails. I used this product and it gave them a nice shine and I felt it made my nail vanish last a bit longer. I found this product helped thicken up my nail vanish and made them chip proof for so long. I like receiving products like this as I will always get my use out of them.

I really liked this months box, I was very happy with the amount of samples and the variation of different products. Next month is my last box in my subscription and based on the two boxes I have received I think I will be continuing with my subscription assuming next months is just as good as these two. If any of you got the box this month let me know what you had and if you liked them,

Shannon xx
