Makeup Revolution | Iconic Smokey

I Had this Palette for Christmas and I'm only now getting around to posting about it it's the Makeup Revolution Iconic Smokey  | £6. It can be purchased from Superdrug. This palette is supposed to be a dupe for the Urban Decay Smoky Palette.

The first thing you notice about the palette is the packaging, it has the same back plastic as the Iconic 3 that, you can see my review here. However this one feels a bit more sturdy as it doesn't have a plastic window to show the shades.

The palette comes with a brush, this surprised me as most of the Makeup Revolution products come with an eye shadow applicator. The brush is a decent quality, its double sided, one side for packing on colour and another for blending out. I have swatched the palette below in the following order Light, Glow, Stained, Erupt, Silvery, Smoke, Shadow, Haze, Steam, Rubble, Flicker and Exhale.

Shades that I was particularly loved with were:

Light - This is such a radiant champagne colour and it's very shimmery.

Glow - Is the perfect gold shade, it can be built up to be even more bold however I think this works best as an overall lid colour. Quite frankly the shade speaks for itself.

Stained - This is a subtle shimmery brown shade, that works well in a smokey eye look.

Shades I was Disappointed in:

Flicker & Exhale - Frankly I think these shades are pointless! I tried to build them up but they just wouldn't show up at all.

If you are someone who likes to do a smoky eye then this palette would be ideal, I really like the shades bar the two I've mentioned above. Even if you bought this to only use four shades, that's still as steal at £6. Find my overall rating below:
